The Machine Sector (once known as the Skelow Sector, a misnomer) is a loose grouping of stars in the Orion Spur of the Milky Way galaxy, in the Prime Universe. It possesses stars that are holdings of or occupied by several different races and beings: the Tardek, the Z, the Infernal Machine and the Draor. It is named for the Infernal Machine, which is a constant, almost environmental menace in this sector of space; the Skelow know to generally stay away for this reason (as well as the Tardek's proclivities in terms of "trade"). Taken on a single plane viewed from outside the galaxy, facing toward the core, the Machine Sector is approximately west of the Cetian and Republic Sectors, north of the Xi Sector, west/southwest of the Praezorian Sector, and southwest/south of Skelow Space.
