Itona is the Tardek home-world, orbiting 72 Herculis in the Machine Sector. It is slowly recovering from an ecological disaster in which a hyperspace portal used in a power-plant began to float freely through the atmosphere and spew molten lava, resulting in catastrophic storms (and burying things under molten rock).
The Tardek in coalition are slowly rebuilding, with the assistance of their allies the Earth Republic and through trade from Avart Station. Itona has recently been the target of Z attack, but the Praezorians--specifically the Minzera clan]]--have been helping the Tardek and Earth Republic to defend it.
