ERS Xuanwu: "In harms way."
The ERS Xuanwu is a Valkyrie Class ship of the Earth Republic Star Navy.
It has the standard weapons complement of laser turret, pulse cannon, and missile launcher, and an expanded crew complement of forty-five personnel.
The Xuanwu is a player controlled ship run from the Adventurers Guild located in Moreno Valley, Ca.
Duties[]
The primary function of the ERS Xuanwu is to be a training vessel. Recruits spend six weeks on board to complete their basic training while cadets must spend a full semester on board to graduate from a Star Navy academy. Even the Xuanwu's commanding officer, usually a Lieutenant, serves for only a one year tour to gain command experience. The crew must complete regular combat simulations as well as perform courier duties between Earth and Tau Ceti.

02APR52: The Xuanwu was first commissioned and began running patrols between Sol and Sirius.
01NOV53: The Xuanwu sustained heavy damage from an ambush during the second war with the Praezorians. Several members of her crew were killed, but the surviving crew was able to get the Xuanwu back to One Republic shipyard.
08JUN54: Star Navy Command revoked the Xuanwu's active combat status and assigned her to the Engineering Training Academy in Australia. Young engineers would spend their time at the academy dismantling and re-assembling the old war veteran.
10JUN56: After the Z attack on Earth that left much of the Star Navy fleet decimated, the Star Navy re-commissioned the Xuanwu and many of the ships left in the Bone Yard.
02JUL56: The Xuanwu is assigned as a training ship and placed under the command of Lt. Pwyll Bainbridge.
06AUG56: During the Xuanwu's maiden voyage as a trainer, she responded to a distress call, and shortly thereafter, all communication with the Xuanwu were lost. After eight-seven minutes, One Republic shipyard picked up a signal from one of the Xuanwu's hyperspace buoys in the vicinity of the distress call.
17AUG56: Investigations into the disappearance of the Xuanwu have turned up little. A hyperspace buoy was found with markings from the Xuanwu. There is no debris or residual hyperspace matter, but there were some anomalous radiation signatures in the area.
20AUG56: Star Navy updated the status of the Xuanwu and her crew as MIA (Missing in Action). Any further information regarding the Xuanwu and her disapearence has been classifed.
